What makes the day different

The schedule is only part of the story.

A quick trim and a full groom need different amounts of time. When a service runs longer, the team still needs to welcome arrivals, update customers, and agree on pickup.

What deserves attention
  • Groomer availability and service timing

  • Appointments alongside walk-in requests

  • Non-sensitive grooming preferences and service notes

  • Customer updates and pickup coordination

  • Return reminders based on customer visit activity

From arrival to the next visit

Keep the details close to the work.

Plan around the groomer’s day

Set service durations and staff availability in Appointments & Calendar. Adjust the booking when timing changes, with Front Desk keeping arrivals and walk-ins visible.

Keep useful details with the customer

Record non-sensitive service preferences, such as a requested trim or pickup arrangement, in customer notes. The next teammate can review that context before the visit.

Keep pickup conversations together

Use Inbox & Messaging to agree on pickup and explain changes in timing. Customer conversations stay connected to the person your team is helping.

Give the next visit a place in the plan

Use customer visit history to plan follow-up. Automations can create a staff task after a completed visit or when a customer becomes inactive, so the team remembers to arrange the next groom.

FAQ

Questions from pet groomers.

No. Records are organized around the customer and their visits. You can keep non-sensitive grooming preferences in service notes, but VanityOps does not provide structured pet profiles, vaccination or medical records, boarding management, or veterinary workflows.

Use in-app conversations to coordinate pickup, within your plan’s messaging access. Automations can remind staff to follow up using visit activity. Sending reminders through an external channel requires an enabled provider, customer consent, and delivery safeguards. There is no dedicated pickup tracking workflow.
